Billie Jo Holzer

Billie Jo, age 57 of Trempealeau, WI, took her journey to heaven on March 12, 2024, after a car accident unexpectedly took her life. Billie was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and as someone put it, “our loss is heaven's gain”. 

Billie Jo is survived by her husband of 30 plus years, Mike; son, Sam; daughter, Camery; sister, Arlys (Mike); sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marty, Holly (Kip), and Heidi (Chris); father-in-law, Robert; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Hilt; mother, Shirley Hilt; mother-in-law, Barbara, and sister, Debbie. 

She will be sadly missed by all of her friends, daycare families, co-workers and extended family. Billie provided a home based daycare (Busy Bee’s) for over 20 years and touched numerous lives. She also provided foster care to several young people. She was recently employed by Ace Hardware Distribution Center in La Crosse where she took tremendous pride in her work. Billie graduated from Winona Senior High School, Winona State University and SE Technical College. Her passion was following the Lord and spreading bible principles to others. She was a member and volunteer at First Free Church in Onalaska, WI. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, shopping and spending time with Mike. Billie especially liked caring for her dogs, Bentley and Charlee. She was proud of her family and grateful for everything God provided. Her smile lit up a room and she will be deeply missed.

John 16:22 "So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy."

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Billie will be laid to rest at Witoka Cemetery in Minnesota.
