Beverly Jean Todd, 89, passed away on Monday April 23, 2018 at her home in St. Charles, MN.
Bev was born on June 2, 1928 to Hazel (Fergeson) and Edward Gill. She grew up in St. Charles and graduated from St. Charles High School.
She married Darwin Herbert Todd in 1948. Together they moved to a farm in Elba Mn where they raised their family of 5 boys and finally a girl. Beverly worked alongside her husband and later her sons in the family business Todd Elevator. She enjoyed keeping the bookwork neat and the help in line. After losing her husband in a car accident, in which she was also injured, she moved back to St. Charles to her final home. While not at work Beverly was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the St. Charles city zoning board, gardening club and the United Church of Christ. Her visits to Del's Cafe for coffee with friends was a daily occurrence. Beverly enjoyed riding her bike, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and traveling with her children.
Bev will be remembered as a caring daughter and sister, a force in the family business, a loving widow, an unconditionally loving mother, good cook, a fun grandma, and a lover of cats. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Beverly is survived by daughter Lori Todd of St. Charles, MN; son Gary Todd of Wabasha, MN; son Mark Todd of Scottsdale AZ, son Dean (Sue) Todd of Elba, MN and son Wynn (Barb) Todd of Rochester, MN. Grandchildren Michelle (Justin) Hoff, Brandon (Katherine) Todd, Kevin (Shannon) Toner, Laura Walker, Brent (Jamie) Todd, Jennifer (Chris) Cable, Kelly (Nate) Nesler, Rebecca (Adam) Arens, Robert Todd, Renae Todd, Brittany Todd, Cody Todd, Kaitlynn Todd, and 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, siblings, Robert Gill and Sharon Bishop of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her husband Darwin, sons Mike and Craig, her parents Ed and Hazel Gill, her Sister Phyllis and brother Darrel.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Sunday April 29, 2018 at 2:30 at the United Church of Christ with Jason Chamberlain presiding. Friends may call from 12:30 until time of services at the church.
