Beverly Helen (Anderson) Neldner, 88, passed away peacefully at home in rural Lewiston, on Monday, February 18, 2019. The oldest of three children, Beverly was born on April 26, 1930, to Ernest and Esther (Pappenfuss) Anderson at Winona General Hospital. She grew up on the family farm and attended Country School District #66 by Fremont until 5th grade and then Lewiston Elementary and Lewiston High School in Lewiston, graduating in 1947.
On September 15, 1951, Bev married Allen Neldner. They had 2 sons, James and Scott, and spent their lives farming in rural Lewiston. During her lifetime, Bev also worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, and the Lewiston Journal and Camera Art in Lewiston.
Bev's greatest loves in life were her family and her church. She always looked forward to and enjoyed hosting family get-togethers on the farm, entertaining friends and out-of-town relatives, and the times shared with special friends Bill and Helen Roberton. She will always be remembered as a loving caretaker to any relative during times of sickness or in need of help.
She is survived by her sons, James (Marlys) and Scott of Lewiston; grandchildren Mike Neldner, Molly (Nate) Trim, Traci (Scott) Smith, Megan (Matt) Haake, and Will Neldner; 10 great-grandchildren - Austyn and Madelyn Neldner, Desiree Youngs, Destiny, Colt, and Danielle Smith, Delaney and Gracie Trim, and Cedar and Henrik Haake; and 2 great-great-grandchildren Miko and Pavel Youngs. She is also survived by her brother William (Brenda) Anderson, and Donna Joan (Norby) Ellinghuysen, and sister-in-law Delores (Richard) Lovlien; as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, parents Ernest and Esther Anderson, and sister- and brother-in-law Elaine and Ozzie Affeldt.
Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lewiston, MN.
