Beverly Porter, 84 of Winona died Friday, September 25, 2020, at her home surrounded by family and love. Beverly was born on February 11, 1936, to George and Bernice (Thourd) Laumb and was the oldest of 14 children. On October 27, 1956, Beverly married Jim Porter. Throughout the years she waitressed at several restaurants and retired from WinCraft. Beverly was very active in the Eagles Club, often helping with fish fry, playing BINGO, and watching the Vikings and the Twins. She enjoyed bowling and made it to the State Bowling Tournament 60 years in a row and the National Tournament 55 years. Also was inducted in the Winona Bowling Hall of Fame. Her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her Children, Pattie Schultz (Jon Duffy), Jim (Deb), Tom (Carol), and Bobby; Grandchildren, Eric (Stacy), Kayla (Trevor), Tyler (Anna), Brooke, Shane (Michelle), Casey, Conner, Gina (Josh), Thomas, and Timothy; Great-Grandchildren, Ayden, Rylee, Dominic, Jalen, Adrian, Spencer, Hayden, Hunter, and Holden; and siblings, Jim (Donna) Laumb, Don (Lexie Boehmke) Laumb, Nancy Benson, Mike (Rena) Laumb, Rick (Jeannie) Laumb, Barb Laumb, Debbie (Allen) Heiden, Randy (Cindy) Laumb, Dave (Lori Krage) Laumb, Joyce (Bill) Miller, Lori (Jim) Booth. Including many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Special friends include Keri Wegman, Ken Siebenaler, Deanna Sanden and Kimmer Skappel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; siblings, Phyllis and Walt Porter, Sonny Laumb, and Jerry Laumb; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewie Benson, Mary and Jim Ward, and Jerry Porter; and nieces and nephews, Matthew, Telli, Joey, and Jay.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center with Rev. Mark McNea officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m., until the time of the service. Beverly will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery. In honor of Beverly's love for the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins, please wear any Viking or Twins attire you have.
