HOUSTON, MINN. - Betty Jane (Meyer) Ladsten, 64, of Houston, died Friday, January 29, 2004, at Gundersen ? Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. Betty was born on May 17, 1939, in Caledonia, Minn. to Raymond and Alice (Johnson) Meyer. She grew up in Caledonia and attended Caledonia High School. Betty moved to Houston where she lived the remainder of her life. She worked as a bartender and waitress at Flip and John's in Ridgeway for many years. Betty enjoyed Playing cards and flower gardening. Her family will mostly remember her for all the great years at her house for Thanksgiving. There was great food, great memories, warm house and hearts together. Betty is survived by two sons: Gerry Ladsten and Tim (Tammy) Ladsten both of Spring Grove, Minn.; three daughters: Sandy (Paul) Marks and Cheryl Ladsten, both of Money Creek, Minn., and Cindy (Bill) Harvey of Pickwick, Minn.; seven grandchildren: Alicia, Travis, Brandon, Megan, Amber, Shannon, and Tyler. Six brothers and sisters: Dale (Mary) Meyer of Caledonia, Minn., Bonnie (Duane) Peterson of Houston, Minn. Butch Meyer and Dawn of Caledonia, Minn., Alan (Sandy) Meyer of Caledonia, Minn., Terry (Mary) Meyer of Dakota, Minn. and Judy (David) Frank of Houston, Minn., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Leroy and Gary, and two sisters: Leona and Jeannie. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February, 2, 2004 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek, Minn. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the Church.
