Betty I. Ellinghuysen, 86, of Lewiston, died, Monday, October 11, 2010 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona.Betty was born June 16, 1924 in Utica to Floyd & Irene (Lewis) Connaughty. She married Alvin Ellinghuysen on October 27, 1944 at her parents' home in Stockton. Betty spent her life as a farmwife and mother. She also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, birds, cooking, baking and was known for her sweet rolls and buns.She is survived by her nine children, Diane Borzyskowski of Winona, Steven (Judy) of Altura, Sheryl (Art) Lotz of Wabasha, Nancy (Larry) Greden of Altura, Denise (Joseph) Heublein of Altura, Robert (Lorrie Rinn) of Winona, Laurie O'Hara of Stockton, Peggy (Tom) Wolner of Red Wing, Jodi (John) Bulman of Zumbro Falls; 24 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008; parents; two brothers; and four sisters.Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo with the Reverend William Meilner officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
