Fountain City, WI Bernard "Bernie" Paul Jaszewski, 76, of Fountain City, WI, entered into heaven on June 6, 2009 after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his death. Bernie was born June 5, 1933 to Dominick and Bernadine (Konkel) Jaszewski in Dodge, WI. He was the oldest of six children; Amil, Dominick, Lenny, Nancy, and Bobby. He married Judith (Kaiser) Sacia on June 12, 1954. They had four children; Kim Steen of Elkhorn, WI, Paul (Beth) Jaszewski of Corneilius, NC, Deb (Dan) Weidert of Juneau, WI and Chris (Schell) Jaszewski of Sun Prairie, WI. They later divorced. In 1979, Bernie married Delores Fenske. Bernie was blessed with two additional children from this marriage; Joyce (Steve) Morphew of Oklahoma City, OK and Nancy (Tom) Holdahl of Buffalo, SD. Bernie has nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Bernie had a passion for his work as a printer, being employed by Watkins Printing, then Crescent Printing in Onalaska, WI. He owned and operated the Zesto Drive Inn in Winona for over 20 years. During his spare time, Bernie enjoyed fishing with Dee, golfing with many of his friends, working on projects in his woodworking shop, and maintaining his yard. Bernie's passing will leave an enormous void for those who's lives he touched. He will be remembered as a strong, silent man with a wonderful sense of humor. He could light up a room with his smile and quick wit. He loved to sing the song "It's Hard To Be Humble" to his wife Dee. He was an inspiration to all in his demonstration of love to his wife, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a Graveside Service held at 1:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona, MN with Reverend Thomas Hargesheimer officiating.
