Benjamin Kimball

The funeral for Benjamin Kimball, 20, will be Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 6 p.m. at the Lanesboro Football Field. Friends are encouraged to gather at the field for a time of sharing beginning at 5:00 p.m. In the event of rain, the sharing and service will be held at the Lanesboro High School Gymnasium. Ben died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, May 6 just outside Lanesboro. Ben was born June 25, 1985 in Austin, Texas. He attended Liberty (Missouri) Public Schools through his freshman year in high school. He moved with his family to Lanesboro, Minnesota in 2001 and was a 2004 graduate of Lanesboro High School. Ben worked as a journeyman for the local carpenter's union while attending evening classes in carpentry at Rochester Community and Technical College. He was an outstanding athlete, outdoorsman, loved to sing and dance, and the best friend anyone could ever have. He committed his life to Jesus Christ in 2000 at Liberty Christian Fellowship in Liberty, Missouri.Survivors include his parents Mike & Jennifer Kimball of rural Fountain, Minn.; two brothers, Gabriel of Lanesboro, Minn. and Caleb of rural Fountain, Minn.; two sisters, Samantha and Rachel both of rural Fountain, Minn.; paternal grandparents Leo & Beverly Kimball of Spring Valley, Minn.; maternal grandparents Gerald & Vivian Olson of Lanesboro, Minn.; several aunts and uncles, Danny Kimball of Spring Valley, Minn., Todd (Dawn) Kimball of Pipestone, Minn., Rebecca (Chris) Hale of Rochester, Minn., Craig (Glory) Olson of Kansas City, Kansas, Jeff (Kate) Olson of Highland, Minn.; and one niece Ashley Olson of Highland, Minn.Friends may call beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 10 at the rural Fountain home of Mike & Jennifer Kimball. Take Fillmore County 11 east of Fountain. Follow the signs posted near Root Praire Lutheran Church.
