Beatriz M. O'Hara

May 22, 1932 — April 8, 2020

Beatriz Margarita (Kadala) O'Hara, 87, of Winona, MN died on April 8th, 2020. Beatriz was born on May 22, 1932, to Stanley and Mary (Reyes) Kadala in Chicago, IL. She moved to the Dominican Republic when she was a month old and to Puerto Rico when she was eight years old. Her family moved to Washington, D.C. when she was thirteen years old. She learned English and was fluent in four other languages. She graduated in speech and drama from Catholic University at 18 years old. She worked at a US Embassy as an interpreter, mainly for people coming from South and Central American countries. On April 7, 1956, she was united in marriage to Joseph Patrick O'Hara in Washington, D.C. She taught exercise for 25 years. She was a member of the Winona School Board. She watched the news every day and loved keeping up with worldly events. Her greatest love was her family and the Lord Jesus Christ for whom she went home to eternal life.

Beatriz is survived by her children, Teresa O'Hara of Rochester, Minn., Joe (Kathy) O'Hara of Riceville, TN., Robert (Pennie) O'Hara of Lodi, Wis., Monica (Brian) Noonan of Geneva, Ill., Chris (Mary) O'Hara of Ladysmith, Wi., Mark (Kelly) O'Hara of Lake Villa, Ill., Moira (Rick) Solberg of Bismarck, N.D., Oona Markielewski of Deerfield, Wis., Emmett (Corine) O'Hara of Chicago, Ill., Matt O'Hara of St. Paul, Minn., Tina (Kent) Russell of Winona, Minn., Steve (Jennie) O'Hara of Stillwater, Minn., and Tom (Maribeth) O'Hara of St. Charles, MN.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, two stillborn infants, an infant daughter, Laura Mary and an infant son, Peter Nicholas.

We will miss her smile, love, friendship, encouragement, wisdom and deep faith. She always found the good in everyone.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Oak Ridge.
