Avery George Heublein

Avery G. Heublei n, 90 of Lewiston, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.Avery was born November 3, 1921 in Warren Township to George and Clara (Ahrens) Heublein. In 1944 he married Evelyn Mary Ann Gilboe. They made their home in rural Lewiston, where Avery spent his life farming the land. He enjoyed anything that had to do with farming, such as farming shows, threshing machines and auctions. International Tractors were his favorite but he was extremely knowledgeable on all makes and models of tractors and farming equipment. He also enjoyed Polka music, dancing, traveling, was a friend of the Amish and really loved his land. Avery was a member of St. Paul's Church in Lewiston.He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 67 years, three daughters, Betty (Dr. Gary) Cassel of Wenatchee, WA, Mary (John) Botten of Winona and Carol (Ron) Clexton of River Falls, WI; five grandchildren, Julie, Amy, Erin, Emily and Jason; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Iris (Roy) Haake of Lewiston and nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 17 at St. Paul's UCC/ELCA with the Reverend Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will be at Lewiston Public Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Monday at the church and one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul's UCC/ELCA.
