Audrey Maul, 93, died Tuesday, October 31, at St. Anne's Extended Health Care in Winona, MN. She was born in Lansing, MI, on December 28, 1923 to William and Mabel Smith. She graduated high school in New Hampton, IA, in 1942. She went on to graduate from Radio School in Kansas, MO, also in 1942. She was hired by American Airlines and soon transferred to Tulsa, OK. She enlisted in the Navy and was an air traffic controller. After the war, she married George Maul and raised three children: Sandra Oevering (Robert), Minnesota City, MN; Ronald Maul (Bonny), Winona, MN; and Dan Maul, Lewiston, MN. She has eight grandchildren: Stacey Huber; Brian (Anne) Oevering; Jeremy (Jessica) Maul; Cindy (Brian) Speltz,; Carol (Dave) Sheldon; Danielle (Tim) Prigge; Alesha Maul (Tony Thelen) and 11 great grandchildren.
Audrey is preceded in death by husband, George Maul, and also a longtime special friend, Don Bauer, her parents and her brother.
Audrey enjoyed golfing and was a long-time member of Westfield Golf Club. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing at Westfield Golf Club and at Winona Friendship Center.
Audrey has requested a private family burial. Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
