LANESBORO, MINN. - Arnold "Arne" M. Hatlevig, 83, of rural Lanesboro, died Saturday, November 18, 2006, at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. Arne was born on December 8, 1922, in Arendahl Township of Fillmore County, Minn. to Nels and Anna (Brown ) Hatlevig. He lived his entire life in the North Prairie area where he farmed his entire career. He graduated from Rushford High School. On November 13, 1943, he married Allette "Lolly" Holtegaard at North Prairie Lutheran Church. He was a member of the North Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro where he served in many church offices. He was also a member of the Arendahl Township Board. Arne's family was the center of his life. He was a gentle man who never complained about anything. He is survived by his wife, Lolly; five sons: Jim (Miriam) of Perham, Minn., Jerry (Nancy) of Onalaska, Wis., Darrell (Georgene) of Lanesboro, Minn., Doug (Mary) of Iowa Falls, Iowa., and Dale of Lanesboro, Minn.; one daughter: Carol (Kelly) Petersen of Perham, Minn.; sixteen grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Clair and Norman; and one great-granddaughter, Larissa. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, at North Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro, Minn. with the Rev. Ron Warnes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
