Arlet Lucille Geise

WINONAArlet Lucille (Flikke) Geise, 88, of rural Lewiston died Sunday evening, August 23, 2015 at her home.Arlet was born September 26, 1926 to Lewis and Amanda (Floren) Flikke in Cherry Grove Township, MN. On October 30, 1944 she married Norman R. Geise at the Congregational Church in Mantorville, MN. Together they raised two children, Kay and Kraig. Arlet and Norman farmed many years in rural Lewiston. Along with helping Norman farm, gardening was one of her favorite activities. Arlet also found family extremely important to her. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and caretaker. Arlet is survived by her children, Kay (Merton) Scripture of Bemidji, MN and Kraig (Anne) Geise of Lewiston; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Angie) Scripture and Jennifer (Jason) Meyer; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brittney, Brooke, Erin, and Nicholas; siblings, Oreen Flikke, Obert Flikke, Charlotte Vikse, Norma Tillges; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman in 2007; and 9 siblings.Services for Arlet will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Paul's UCC in Lewiston with the Reverend Arianna Arends officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
