Ardis A. Mote

Utica, Ardis A. Mote, 89, of rural Utica died peacefully Thursday March 7, 2013 at her son's home, surrounded by her family. She was born September 25, 1923 in Forrest City, IA to William and Ella (Hanson) Anderson. On January 1, 1946 Ardis and Homer Mote were married. In March of 1959 the couple moved with their five children to Fremont Township of Winona County, where they farmed.Ardis cherished her family and dearly loved those she worshiped with in the church that met in their home and others of like faith world wide. Survivors include five children; Lorene (Vernon) Foner of Alexandria, MN, Terry (Marleen) Mote of Bloomington, Tom (Jan) Mote of Maple Plain, Vernon (Gwen) Mote of Utica and Becky (Del) Magsam of Roberts, WI, 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Ardis was preceded in death by Homer and her brother Murven Anderson. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles with David Bergh and Shari Stamps officiating. A catered meal will be served following services. Burial will then take place at the Lewiston Public Cemetery. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles from 4-7 PM Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday.
