Ardeth Mae Grant

Ardeth Mae Grant, 91, of Dover, MN died on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN.
Ardeth was born on December 1, 1930, in Rochester, MN to Henry and Julia (Treasmer) McDougall, and was raised on the family farm outside of Dover. She was a 1948 graduate of Dover High School. On November 15, 1966, she was united in marriage with Everett Grant at the Elmira Church in Elmira Township, MN. Over the years Ardeth worked many jobs, which included: baker/customer service at the St. Charles Bakery, telephone operator in St. Charles, cook's helper at the Dover Middle School and waitress at the Holiday House in Dover. She was a member of the St. Charles American Legion Auxiliary where she sold Buddy Poppies and placed cemetery flags, chaired the All Dover Classes Committee , and was a member of the Dover Evergreen Cemetery board. Ardeth was a very good bowler and won many trophies in the St. Charles Bowling League. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed animals and farm life..
Ardeth is survived by three children: Sue Grant, Kathy (Brian) Martin both of Rochester, MN and Mike (Janelle) Grant of Dover; one step-daughter, Peggy Plaisted Plano, TX; one granddaughter, Emily; one step-granddaughter, Allison Loucks and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: Don and Jim.
The family prefers memorials directed to Dover Evergreen Cemetery, Seasons Hospice or SEMCAC Meals on Wheels.
There will be a funeral service at 11 am on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Dover. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
