Antoinette "Toni" Mary Pozanc, 72, of Winona, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Lake Winona Manor.Toni was born in Winona on August 7, 1938 to Thomas and Veronica (Skroch) Pampuch. While attending Cotter High School, she loved playing the accordion and would carry it with her on the school bus. While working at Cichanowski Jewelry, Toni met Richard Pozanc and they were united in marriage on February 7, 1959 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona. The couple enjoyed wintering in Texas for many years, camping at Money Creek, and relaxing on cruise vacations. Toni worked for Badger Foundry in Winona for a number of years. She and Dick also owned and operated Pozanc Oil Company for 27 years. Toni's love for children led her to help with the support staff at Winona Area Public Schools. She was a lifelong Elks member and a past member of Goodview Activity Groups. In her spare time, Toni also loved golfing and working on crossword puzzles. She treasured her friends at Money Creek campground and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.Survivors include her three children, Tom (Darlene) Pozanc of Winona, Cynthia (Shawn) Wendling of Anchorage, AK, and Steve (Lissa Haney) Pozanc of Winona; five grandchildren, Nikki Pozanc, Jessica Pozanc, Corbin Pozanc, Zachary Pozanc, and Sara Wendling; sisters, Pat Watkowski of Winona, Ruth Gappa of Blair, WI, Diane Krull of Fort Atkinson, WI, Nancy Rusin of Arcadia, WI; brothers, Richard (Vera) Pampuch of Minneapolis, Jerry (Mary) Pampuch of Minneapolis, Ron Pampuch of Minneapolis, Jim (Diane) Pampuch of Minnesota City, Roger "Pudge" Pampuch of Winona. Toni is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Richard.A visitation will be held from 10am-2pm on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service-Hansen Goodview Chapel. A Christian Prayer Service led by Reverend Thomas J. Hargesheimer will begin at 11am.
