Anne Marie (Ploetz) Page, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and recent great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 5th, 2024.
Born March 14, 1946 to parents Lester and Marcella Ploetz, the 3rd of 6 children. The family grew up on a farm outside of St. Charles, MN. She retold many vivid memories of her time on the farm. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School and then later in life of Minnesota Southeast Technical College in Winona.
On Jan. 2, 1965, Anne married the love of her life, Robert Page and they celebrated 59 wonderful years together, creating a lifetime of memories. Anne and Bob welcomed 4 children to their own family- Thomas, Teresa, Christopher and Brandon.
Family gatherings were one of life’s joys for Anne. Anne enjoyed the time spent with all the Ploetz and Page relatives. Holidays and birthday parties with her children and grand children created many more memories. Taking vacations and seeing both new and familiar places were also a favorite for Anne. Many camping trips were taken out West with extended family members. A week-long family trip to Utah and Colorado in 2023 along with a trip to the Cayman Islands in 2024 were her latest adventures.
Annes favorite hobby was caring for her flowers, especially her irises of which she had over 60 varieties of in her flower garden. She knew every variety of flower she planted and if you were to walk past her house and she was outside in the spring, she would invite you into the yard to see her flowers.
Anne carried over her mechanical drafting skills into creating custom bird houses for family and friends. Each bird house was designed and built for the individual, no two were alike.
Anne was known for her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone like she had known them forever. She made everyone feel special with her presence. The life of the party, Anne had the gift to make everyone smile. Bob and Anne spent many nights going out to dinner with friends or even having them at their house where Anne would show off her cooking and baking skills. Well known for her pies, she would bake your favorite pie for your birthday.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Lester & Marcella Ploetz; brothers: John Ploetz, and Joe Ploetz; and daughter-in-law, Kim (Chris) Page.
Anne is survived by her beloved husband Robert Page; children: Tom Page, Teresa (Steve) Dight, Chris Page, and Brandon Page; grandchildren: Carter (Katie) Dight, Kristin (Nicholas) Schwendeman, and Riley Page; one great-grandchild, Ira Schwendeman; siblings: Ellen (Mike) Roles, Julius (Kay) Ploetz, Christine (Martha Mutch) Ploetz; and sister-in-law Joanne (John) Ploetz; along with many nieces and nephews.
Anne will be sorely missed and loved by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 5pm at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona. Visitation will be from 3 – 5pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.
