Altura, Annabelle L. Plein, 87, of Altura died Saturday March 9, 2013 at Sauer Memorial Home in Winona. She was born September 4, 1925 in Rollingstone to Edmund and Leona (Hayertz) Lehnertz. Annabelle married Joseph Plein June 19, 1946 in Rollingstone, where they made their home until moving to Altura in 1960. She worked as a cook at Lewiston-Altura Schools from 1969, until her retirement in 1994. Annabelle was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Altura. She enjoyed making Christmas decorations and crocheting. Survivors include her five children; Jim Plein of Altura, Jean (Loren) Senst of Albert Lea, Denny (Sue) Plein of Lewiston, Kevin (Sharon Lemke) Plein of Stockton and Sandra (Ronald) Kronebusch of Houston, four grandchildren; April (Paul) Plein-Raatz, Amanda (Adolph) Schildknecht, Brian Plein and Cathy (Derek) Rockow, six great-grandchildren; Dawson and Dax Schildknecht, Evan Plein, Avery Raatz, Sarah and Eva Rockow, a brother Charles (Rita) Lehnertz of Winona and two sisters, Rosemary Speltz of Rollingstone and Catherine (Bob) Lewis of California. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph on November 24, 1986 and by four brothers; Edward, Francis, Gerald and Eugene Lehnertz. A Funeral Mass for Annabelle will be 11AM Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Altura with the Reverend Timothy Hall officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Oak Ridge. Friends may call from 5-8PM Monday at Hoff Funeral Service in Lewiston. They may also call one hour before services on Tuesday at the church.
