Houston, MN Anna M. Johnson, 99, of LaCrescent, MN, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, MN. Anna was born on August 9, 1910 in Red Lake County, MN, to Thomas and Anna (Lundell) Johnson. She attended country school in Lanesboro and Sheldon. She worked at the Rubber Mills in LaCrosse, WI for 25 years. Throughout her life she was a member of Coon Valley Lutheran Church in Coon Valley, WI, Prince of Peace Church in LaCrescent, MN and Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, MN. She was very involved in various ladies' church groups. In 1929 Anna married Burdeen Jergenson, he passed away in 1964. In 1965, she married Otis Johnson, he passed away in 1986. Anna loved to sew, knit, crochet, cook, put puzzles together, and pick strawberries. She will be dearly missed. Anna is survived by three step children, Frank (Shirley) Johnson of Norwalk, WI, Wayne Johnson of Coon Valley, WI, and Alice Johnson of Coon Valley, WI; daughter-in-law, Winnie Jergenson of LaCrosse, WI; 10 grandchildren, Dan (Lorrie) Jergenson, Terry (Annette) Jergenson, Tim (Sherry) Jergenson; Mike (Debbie) Jergenson, Mary (Harold) Naber, Kathy Young, Lynn (Rich) Ellis, Sue Jergenson, Sandy (Robin) Sneath, and Skip (Kris) Jergenson; 9 step grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; brother Thomas (Evelyn) Johnson of Onalaska, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; two sons, Milton and Roger Jergenson; eight brothers, Hjalmer, Gilbert, Leonard, Arden, Norris, Carrol, Joseph, and Tommy Johnson; three sisters, Betsy Johnson, Mabel Faas, and Josephine Fancher; and daughter-in-law Nancy Jergenson. The Funeral Service for Anna will be held at 11:00am, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Reverend Lane Zaffke officiating. Burial will be at Stone Church Cemetery in Houston. Friends may call from 10-11am on Wednesday at the church.
