RIDGEWAY, MINN: Anita Joan Gady, 79, of Ridgeway, MN, died Friday, July 8, 2016 at Gundersen Health System, LaCrosse, WI, after a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Anita was born in Gillette, WY on February 18, 1937 to William and Irma (Zook) Page. At nine months of age, her family relocated to Winona County, eventually settling in Witoka, MN. She graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1955. In 1956, she met Marlin Gady. They married on September 22, 1956 and together farmed and raised their children in the WELS christian faith.
Anita loved to bake, sew, do crafts, and watch the beautiful variety of birds that gobbled her bird seed. What she loved most though was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each child was a gift to her, and her to them.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Marlin Gady, Ridgeway, MN; her children, Karen Gady Jonsgaard, Houston, Bob and Cindy (Konkel) Gady, Ridgeway, MN, Janel (Gady) Rediske, Pickwick, MN, Donna Gady, Ridgeway, MN and Tim and Joannie (Sena) Gady, Houston, MN; Her grandchildren, Carissa Gady, Wynn Jonsgaard, Kamera Jonsgaard, LaShonda Jonsgaard, Adam and (Alicia) Gady, Sara (Tim) Ronnenberg, Erin Gady, Eric (Sammy) Gady, Tyler (Kenndera) Rediske, Josh Rediske, Jordan Rediske, Christopher Gady, Kelsie (Mike) Horst, Sam Netwal, and Cedar Netwal; her great grandchildren, Jakcob, Alyssa, Hayden, Jaycie, Julia, Abriella, Vincent, Mable-Jean, Phoenix, Sterling,Olivia, Augustus and one due in September 2016; her brother Tom (Pat) Page, her sister Helen (Bill) McNally, her sister's in law, Sharon (Jerome) Unnasch, Irene (Ken) Boldt, Marlene Bahler; numerous nieces and nephews; and a close cousin Norma Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Clayton (Bing) Miller, sister's in law, Delaine Scheck and Carol Rossin. Anita was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Nodine, MN led by Rev. Dennis Harbach. Visitation will be held from 5 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church School in the all purpose room; and one hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Nodine, MN.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. John's Lutheran Church or school; to support the faith and community she held so dear.
