ROLLINGSTONEAngeline Anna Hengel, 100 of Rollingstone, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Lake Winona Manor surrounded by her family. Angeline was born at home on March 18, 1914, to Frank and Anna (Stoeber) Harens on their family farm in Cogswell, ND. After graduating valedictorian from high school, Angeline relocated to Rollingstone. She was united in marriage to Aloyisius "Al" Hengel on June 22, 1937. Together, they raised six children. Though she was mainly a homemaker, Ange also served school lunches at Holy Trinity School in Rollingstone and later worked for ASCO in Winona. In her spare time, Angeline loved reading, quilting, crafting, and spending time with her family. She took great pride in her immaculate lawn and enjoyed tending to her flower garden. Angeline was also an active member at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.She is survived by her children, David (Rita) Hengel of Rochester, Steve Hengel of Plainview, Tom (Sandy) Hengel of Rollingstone, Joyce Donnelly of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Ruthie (Glen) Bonow of Altura, and Sandy (Lonny) Dietz of rural Elba; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brother Leonard Harens, Greendale, WI; and sister, Marcella Crocker, Magallia, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al, in 1991; brother, Ray; sisters, Margaret and Fran; and a great-grandchild, Anna Marie Pallazza. Memorial Mass will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with Reverend William Kulas officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery and lunch will be served at the Holy Trinity Community Center following the burial.
