Amy A. Larson, 91, of Rushford, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Amy was born on September 7, 1915, near Choice, Minn. to Edward and Isobel (Hilden) Johnson. She was raised in Fillmore County and attended the Grubtown School in Highland. On November 4, 1934, she married Cyrus Larson. She farmed with her husband in Fillmore County where she raised her six children. Amy worked for over 20 years at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Amy made many happy memories while working at the home. She had been a member of the Rushford Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being active in the church's ladies aid and other church organizations. Amy loved playing piano, gardening, and visiting friends and family. She made many beautiful quilts that will continue to keep her family warm and loved. She is survived by six children: Conrad (Rachael) Larson of Minneapolis, Minn., Jerold (Cheryl) Larson of Winona, Minn., Dorothy (Ralph) Pruka of Rockford, Ill., Marlene (Lester) Bellock of Peterson, Minn., Brenda (Glenn) Erdmann of Winona, Minn., and Andrea Erving of Denver, Colorado; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; one brother: Wallace (Linda) Johnson of Decorah, Iowa; and three sisters: Lorraine Benson of Rushford, Minn., Vivian Stennes of Mabel, Minn., and Ione Hanson of Rochester, Minn. Amy was preceded in death by her Husband, two brothers, and two sisters. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel with Terry Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in the Choice Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel.
