Lewiston, MN Alvin (Bude) F. Prigge, 95, of Lewiston, MN, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Lewiston Villa Nursing Home. Bude was born on January 14, 1914, in Lincoln, IL, to William J. and Emma Lillie (Klein) Prigge. He served in the US Army during World War II in Africa and Italy. Together with his father, he operated Prigge's Grocery Store in Lewiston for 32 years. Following the closing of Prigge's Grocery, he worked for Nuszloch's Grocery until the time of his retirement. Mr. Prigge was a lifelong member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston and in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening, and following the Twins baseball games. Survivors include two brothers, Arnold (Orn) of Lewiston, MN and Allen of Eugene, OR, and one sister Alice (David) Przestwor of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. The Funeral Service for Alvin (Bude) Prigge will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston, with the Reverend David A. Fischer and Reverend Michael A. Lindemann co-officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, MN. Friends may call from 10-11AM at the church on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church.
