Alma Kristiane (Ask) Eberhard

Houston, MNAlma Kristiane (Ask) Eberhard, age 92, passed away peacefully at the Valley View Nursing Home on Monday evening, March 14, 2005 after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 26, 1912 on a Conedale farm in the township of Wiscoy in the county of Winona to Haakon and Karen (Hansen) Ask. On October 4, 1933, she married Philip Eberhard in Galena, IL. She and Phil farmed for 11 years and then moved to Winona for a year where Phil learned the painting trade. Over the years she worked at Winona General Hospital and the Valley View Nursing Home as a Dietary Aide. Alma was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, MN.Survivors include two sons, William (Lou) Eberhard of Trinidad, CO and Dean (Beverly) Eberhard of Fridley, MN; three grandsons; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Roy (Persis) Ask of Houston, MN, Wally (Betty) Ask of St. Charles, MN and Lyle H. Ask of Rochester, MN; five sisters, Hazel (Harry) McElmury of Houston, MN, Velma (Daniel) Degallier of Winona, MN, Esther Fiene of Cortez, CO, Carol (Lorin) Kilstofte of Pueblo, CO and Anita (Craig) Currier of Pittsburg, KS; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, granddaughters, Kimberly and Karie Eberhard, brother, Carl Ask Sr.; three sisters, Hardy Napstad, Florence Votruba and Evelyn Millen.Funeral services are planned for Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 10:00am at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Louise E. Stromberg officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona, MN. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes ?
