Allison Michelle Boelter, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 29 due to complications of diabetes. She was born on August 31, 1995 in Winona, MN to Mark and Michelle (Thompson) Boelter. Allison resided in La Crosse, WI.
Her light and warmth were a gift to all who knew her. As a genuine and generous friend, she forged deep connections with students, family, friends and everyone she met, leaving an unforgettable mark on their lives.
A family person through and through, Allison prioritized time with her brother Brandon, creating memories by cooking, watching their favorite TV shows and sharing quality time together filled with laughter and love. She loved playing games and was a spirited adventurer who found joy in Mississippi River outings and exploring the world alongside Katy, Moby and Olivia. Her laughter was infectious, bringing light and joy to every room she entered.
Whether traveling with friends, teaching her students or spending quiet moments with family, Allison exemplified kindness, passion and a zest for life. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, laughter and light will live on with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is a proud graduate of Winona Senior High School and also received a Master’s Degree with Honors in Speech Pathology from Minnesota State University Mankato. She dedicated her professional life to her students at Sand Lake Elementary in Holmen, WI and URead Academy in Onalaska, WI.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Michelle; brother, Brandon; grandparents, Elroy and Diane Boelter; uncles, Mike (Jenny) Thompson, Mitch (Missy) Thompson; aunts, Brenda (Jeff) Kremer, Julie Boelter; cousins, Sophie, Walker, Jordan, Braeden, Kaylei, Amy, Adam, Katie, Jenna, Jared, and Jonah; her best four legged friend Champ, and many friends.
Allison was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Helen Thompson; and uncle Jeff Boelter.
Monetary gifts will be donated to Sand Lake Elementary School and the American Diabetes Association.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00am at Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Visitation will be Friday, January 10 from 4-7pm at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
