Allan "Al" Clifford Hoel, 65 of Randolph, MN and formerly of Rushford, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals - Rochester, Methodist Campus.
Al was born May 17, 1952 in Rushford to Clifford and Annette (Dahle) Hoel. He graduated from Rushford High School in 1971. On August 21, 1982, he married Victoria DeVault. Al worked for Frontier Communications for 45 years until his retirement in 2015. He was a member of the Hardwood Country Sportsmen's Club and the CWA Union.
Al was an avid sportsman, enjoyed golfing and loved being outdoors. He was also a faithful Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie; two sons, Erik Allan Hoel of Randolph and Brandon Collins Hoel of Minneapolis; grandson, Tyler Allan Hoel; sister, Diane (Bill) Luhmann; two brothers, Dennis (Saundra) Hoel of Blaine and Stuart (Kathy) Hoel of Winona and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Jay DeVault Jr. and mother-in-law, Barbara DeVault.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Reverend Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will follow at Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Wednesday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Rushford and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred to Rushford Lutheran Church.
