Alida Dingfelder, 83 died at LaCrescent Health Services, Tuesday April 30, 2019.
Alida Ann was born to Edward and Ina (Nelson) Olson on March 9, 1936. She spent her entire life in the town she loved, Pickwick, MN. Alida worked at Tempo, drove bus for Suffrins Bus Service, Lake Center and Fleet Farm, she retired in 1996. She also bartended at several local bars, where she was fondly known as Mama D. Alida was united in marriage to Melvin Leroy on June 26, 1965. The two were inseparable. They enjoyed going on car rides to count eagles, visiting friends at the L&M Tavern, watching Minnesota sports, casino trips, and spending time with their good friends, Olvin and Chris, and Earl and Joan. Fun memories were made by those six.
Alida had a huge, loving heart for her family, she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Even if it was 80 and sunny she needed to know you were safe. If you went on vacation she would cry until you were home. She shared the same huge heart as her brother Eddie. Now Mom and Eddie can watch their families with the best view with Jesus.
Mel and Alida have four children; Don (Paula) Dingfelder, Paula (Kevin) Klawiter, Holli (Mark) Wieser and Tara (Tom) Schewe, nine grandchildren; Casey (Olivia) Dingfelder, Megan (Corey) O'Connell, Colin Dingfelder, Mitch (Sam) Klawiter, Linnea Klawiter, Brandon Schewe and special friend Mike Zwickey, and Nick, Matt and Ben Wieser; Four great grandchildren; Everly O'Connell and baby brother on the way and Johanna, Grayson and Holland Klawiter.
Alida was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Edward Jr. and Eldon Olson.
