Hokah, Minn. - Agnes (Aggie) Murray TipperyIf you are reading this, then I have left my earthly bonds for the nextadventure for my soul. I died on June 28, 2013 at the age of 84 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital with her son Jim at her side.I was born on Feb. 22, 1929 to William & Eunice (Fishel) Murray in CaledoniaMN. I was brought home to a farm on Union Ridge. It was Grandpa Fishel'sfarm & Mom & Dad were farming it while Grandpa was in South Dakota.I attended school at Mound Prairie, Union Valley & graduated from St.Peter's High School in 1946.I met and married Ivan Tippery a returning WWII veteran on Nov.26th, 1947.Shortly after our marriage, we moved to Dubuque, IA, and spent five yearsthere. We moved back to Minnesota to Brownsville. From there we moved intoHokah. Later we bought a small farm in Butterfield Valley outside of Hokah.Our fourth son, Jim now owns it. He and his brothers share Ivan's cabin onthe hill for get-togethers and hunting.I held various jobs in Lacrosse, WI. Sears, Trane Co., GatewayTransportation and retired from Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in 1992.After retiring, I took up writing and wrote a weekly column for the HoustonCounty News & Caledonia Argus. I donated my writing because I wanted to dosome kind of volunteerism from my home to entertain the readers and myfriends in the area. In 2001 I published a book of stories from my columnsand contributions from former Hokah residents about their memories ofgrowing up in Hokah. It came out in conjunction with Hokah's sesquecentenialcelebration. My second book 'The Bath Tub is in the Attic' was published in2010.My interests & hobbies were varied. I liked to sew, bake & cook, go campingand traveling in the West with Ivan & the grandchildren.I was preceded in death by my parents, my husband Ivan, and two brothers,Billy Joe & Michael, one sister Marian and my baby twins.I am survived by my five sons: Lee (Lisa), Tom (Nadine), Bob, Jim, and Jerry(Jeanne) Tippery. Six grandchildren, Travis, Willie, Shane, Jamie Gabe andLiz Tippery, and two great grand-children, Elissa Tippery and Ivan A TipperyI have had a happy lifetime and have five wonderful sons and their familiesthat I am so proud of. I have been surrounded in life by many friends, whoin these last years have been so good to me.I am sorry for any hurts I have caused in my life time. I believe God hasforgiven me. I want to be cremated and my cremains buried alongside myhusband Ivan on our farm. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Peter'sChurch at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
