HOUSTON, MINN. - Adrian L. Traff, 59, of Houston, Minn. died on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at his home. Adrian was born on October 19, 1949, in LaCrosse, Wis. to Lester and Violet (Gaustad) Traff. He was raised in Houston and attended Houston High School. Adrian served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. On October 2, 1971, Adrian was united in marriage with Sandra Bendel in Houston. He worked as a plumber for many companies over the years, most notably, Forsyth Plumbing, Bernie Buchner Mechanical, and Action Plumbing. Adrian was a member of the Looney Valley Lutheran Church, Arnet - Sheldon American Legion Post of Houston of which he was commander from 1981 to 1983, and the Sheldon Valley Sportsman Club. His interests included fishing, bowling, riding his Harley Davidson, and volunteering as a firearms safety instructor. Adrian is survived by his wife, Sandie; mother, Violet Traff of Houston; one son, Mike (Gail) Traff of Cape Coral, Fla.; one daughter, Pamela (James) Eddy of LaCrosse, Wis.; six grandchildren: Megan, Mickayla, Collin, Ethan, Adriana, and Carlee; and by one sister, Lynette (Howard) Solie of Spring Grove, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father. The memorial service for Adrian will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 13, at Looney Valley Lutheran Church in rural Houston with the Rev. Peter Huggenvik officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel, and one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
