Lewiston, Adele L. Ties, 99, of Lewiston died Tuesday July 6, 2004 at Lewiston Villa. Adele was born December 3, 1904 in Hillsdale Township, Winona County to Henry and Elizabeth (Mueller) Prigge. She and Oscar Ties were married on November 20, 1927 at Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo. The couple farmed in Hillsdale Township before moving to Bethany in 1956. In 1969 they moved to Bear Creek Valley. Oscar died September 4, 1999. Adele worked for Altura Rex Turkey until her retirement. She was an avid quilt maker, was generous and was always willing to help others. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo and was active in Lutheran Women Missionary League. Survivors include six children, Garnet (Clifford) Olson of Minneapolis; Eileen Stever of North St. Paul; LaVern (Marjorie) Ties of Lewiston; Charlotte (Roland) Pasche of Rollingstone; Kathleen "Kitty" (Ray) Pong of Denver, CO; and Susan (Bob) Bain of Lewiston, two daughters-in-law, Donna Ties of Lewiston and Gloria Ties of Winona, 32 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Frieda Fischer of California and Erna (Ken) Dulley of Illinois. In addition to her husband, a daughter Rosalie, two sons, Eldor "Jim" and David, a son-in-law Frank, a granddaughter Martha, five brothers and a sister have died. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo with the Rev. Ronald Prigge officiating. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? Lewiston Chapel and one hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
