ROLLINGSTONEAdelaide M. Haxton, 98, of Rollingstone, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona.She was born November 26, 1916 in Fargo, ND, to Nic and Clara (Hilbert) Seiwert. She attended Holy Trinity High School, State Teachers College in Valley City, ND, and the University of Minnesota. She married Lloyd Haxton on July 16, 1955 at Saint Charles Catholic Church in Saint Charles. They lived and farmed in rural Rollingstone on one of the farms once owned by Adelaide's grandfather, Nicholas Hilbert, and raised four children.Adelaide was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone. She was active in the Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Aid, and Saint Theresa Society. She was also active in 4-H for almost 28 years. In 1989, she and Lloyd were crowned king and queen of the Winona County Fair. Adelaide enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, selling farm fresh eggs to her customers, and her dogs Trixie 1 and Trixie 2.She is survived by her children, Albert Haxton, Sr., of Winona, William (Rebecca) Haxton of Rollingstone, Denise (Patrick) Cuff of Puyallup, WA, and Cathy (Drew) Keen of Seattle, WA; brother, Hilbert Seiwert of Lafayette, CA; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also, special to Adelaide: Linda Newell and her children of Rochester, MN; Joe and Noreen Tamerius family of Fargo, ND; and John Joyce of Rancho Cordova, CA. Adelaide is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lloyd Haxton.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with Reverend William Kulas officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Adelaide will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery and a reception will follow at the Rollingstone Community Center.Pallbearers will be: Bob Haxton, Dave Glithero, Mark Speltz, Randy Speltz, Scott Vetsch, and Jeff Johnson.Honorary Pallbearers will be Adelaide's home health care providers over the last 16 years: Nancy Dionysius, Tanya Ehlenfeldt, Renee Heyl, and Anne Novak.Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Saint Anne Extended Healthcare of Winona.
