LEWISTON, MINN. - Adelaide M. Dorn, 85, of Lewiston, died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Adelaide was born October 8, 1919, in New Salem, North Dakota, to Carl and Augusta (Mueller) Schieck. She moved with her family as a small child to Waltham, Minn. She married Lambert Dorn on November 10, 1945, in Waltham. Then she and Lambert moved to Lewiston, Minn. where the couple farmed. She also worked at Silo School and Shorty's in Winona as a cook, as well as Hubbard Foods in Altura and the Winona Hospital. Her interests included, playing cards, gardening, canning, fishing, and time with family. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo and the Lewiston American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include; one son, Larry (Sharon) Dorn of Faribault, Minn.; four daughters: Carol (Merlin) Lukkason of Rushford, Minn., Sharon (Steven) Mayfield of Utica, Minn., Marsha (Dave) Batterson of Rochester, Minn., Glenda (Bradley) Waas of Faribault, Minn.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Holle of New Salem, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, three sisters, and four brothers.Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Lewiston with the Reverend William Meilner officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes -Lewiston Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
