Lenora Marie Halverson, 92, a longtime resident of Houston, MN, passed peacefully at Valley View Healthcare & Rehab in Houston on Friday, February 19, 2016. Born September 12, 1923 to Joseph and Alma LaPlante in Crookston, MN. Lenora married Glenn Halverson and moved to the Halverson family farm in Houston, MN. Glenn and Lenora were blessed with 4 children. Lenora worked for Skifton's Department Store for 27 years. She was a devoted member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Lenora's smile and kind heart will be missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Lenora is survived by her sons, Gary Halverson (wife, Anaya) and Kevin Halverson (wife, Betty), 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great, Great Grandchildren. Lenora is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her son, Robert and daughter, Marlyce.
Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houston with the Reverend Pratap Reddy Salibindla, OFM officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m., until the time of the service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Silver Creek Cemetery.
