Gerald William Seitz

St. Charles, Gerald William "Gerry" Seitz, 61, of St. Charles, died Tuesday morning, November 23, 2010 at his home. Gerry was born February 9, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to William and Virginia (Sanders) Seitz. He graduated from Tomah High School in 1967 and from Wisconsin State University at River Falls in 1971 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture. Following college he worked in banking in Arcadia. Gerry later moved to the St. Charles area and worked for Production Credit Association. In 1975 he began his work at First State Bank of Dover as a loan officer. First Bank later became a part of Eastwood Bank, where Gerry served as a senior loan officer, also on its board of directors and as a board officer. He retired in January of this year. Gerry married Kay Hancock in 1970. They later divorced. On April 5, 2008, he married his lifetime partner, Olinda (Borreson) Dickerman. Gerry loved spending time outdoors snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, and riding ATVs. He also enjoyed playing cards. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. His favorite place was this lake home at Hatfield, WI. To know Gerry was to know him for his dry sense of humor and his "Gerry Jokes". In St. Charles Gerry had been active in Jaycees and Men's Golf League and Moose Lodge. At the Lake home he belonged to the Lake Arbutus Lake Association. Survivors include his wife Olinda, two children; Jason (Bri) Seitz and their children Lucas and Kaylee of Eyota, Krista (Patrick) McPherson and their son William of Minneapolis, two step-children; Adam Dickerman of St. Paul and Lori (Mike) Rainey and their son Benjamin of Dover, two brothers; John (Jean) Seitz of Portage, WI and Michael (Julie) Seitz of LaCrosse, in-laws; Lesley (Dale) Pracht, Diane (Glen) Cutts, Brian (Dawn) Borreson and Greg (Nancy) Borreson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service at St. Charles with Rev. Steven McGinley officiating. Cremation will follow with burial in the spring at Tomah, WI. Friends may call from 4-8PM Friday and 10-11AM Saturday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles.
